Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience as Commis Chef or 2 years as Apprentice in a quality hotel or restaurant
  • Basic culinary skills and good knowledge of food hygiene and safety

Key Responsibilities

Operational

  • Support daily kitchen operations while maintaining brand standards
  • Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating according to recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas
  • Ensure proper receiving, storing, and labeling of ingredients
  • Assist in setting up buffet or menu presentations
  • Follow hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times

Customer Service

  • Provide courteous and professional service when engaging with guests or colleagues
  • Handle requests efficiently and report issues promptly

Teamwork & Conduct

  • Work collaboratively and flexibly across sections to support kitchen success
  • Uphold GHMs Core Values, grooming standards, and a positive representation of the hotel
  • Participate in required trainings and meetings
  • Adapt to operational needs and perform additional duties as assigned
