We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Commis II to join our kitchen team, supporting daily food preparation and helping deliver consistently high-quality culinary experiences to our guests.

What will you be doing?

• Assist the Commis I and other chefs in organizing daily activities within the restaurant kitchen area.
• Take care of basic food preparation and duties assigned by superiors to meet the standards and quality set by the restaurant.
• Follow instructions and recommendations from immediate superiors to complete daily tasks.
• Coordinate daily tasks with the Commis I, Chef de Partie, or Sous Chef.
• Assist in estimating daily production needs and checking the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure standards are met.
• Support the production, preparation, and presentation of food to the highest quality at all times.
• Contribute to guest satisfaction, quality, and operating and food cost control on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain basic knowledge of standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage, and sanitation.
• Maintain awareness of menu items, their recipes, methods of production, and presentation standards.
• Follow good preservation standards for the proper handling of all food products at the right temperature.
• Operate department equipment as required, reporting any malfunctions.
• Take personal responsibility for hygiene, safety, and correct use of equipment and utensils.
• Support the team in maintaining restaurant cuisine concepts and standards.
• Adhere to food preparation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to guests.
• Maintain food safety and protection, ensuring all food in working areas complies with proper handling techniques, including dating, storage, and rotation.
• Maintain basic food safety and sanitation practices, and outlet safety at all times.
• Participate in departmental training to improve skills and service levels.
• Adhere to hotel service standards.

What are we looking for?

• Prior kitchen experience or relevant culinary training preferred (fresh graduates with culinary certification may also apply).
• High School Diploma or relevant certificate.
• Basic knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions accurately and quickly.
• Strong teamwork orientation.
• Ability to work under pressure, self-motivated, with a positive attitude and willingness to grow.
• Good customer-service awareness.
• Flexibility to respond to a range of kitchen situations, including varying service volumes, menu changes, and last-minute prep demands.
