Commis III – Pizza

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting in the preparation, assembly, and cooking of pizzas while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness. This role is ideal for entry-level kitchen staff seeking to develop culinary skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of pizza dough, sauces, and toppings
  • Assemble and cook pizzas according to standard recipes and procedures
  • Ensure proper portion control and presentation standards are followed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station at all times
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Store and label ingredients properly in compliance with FIFO procedures
  • Support senior chefs during busy service periods
  • Report any kitchen equipment issues or shortages to supervisors
  • Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
  • Previous kitchen experience is an advantage (2 years preferred)
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

Working Conditions:
