Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting in the preparation, assembly, and cooking of pizzas while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness. This role is ideal for entry-level kitchen staff seeking to develop culinary skills in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of pizza dough, sauces, and toppings
- Assemble and cook pizzas according to standard recipes and procedures
- Ensure proper portion control and presentation standards are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station at all times
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Store and label ingredients properly in compliance with FIFO procedures
- Support senior chefs during busy service periods
- Report any kitchen equipment issues or shortages to supervisors
- Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
- Previous kitchen experience is an advantage (2 years preferred)
- Willingness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
