Information about the job:

• Job Title: Commissioning Mechanical Lead.
• Project: Offshore.
• Location: Qatar.
• Rotation: 35/35 days on/off.
• Salary: Please confirm your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly.
• Start date: ASAP.

Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

• Proven experience in instrumentation and control systems in industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of HSE rules, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Leadership and team supervision skills, including mentoring and coaching.
• Ability to assess and close competency gaps within a team.
• Skilled in coordinating technical activities with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to operational risks.
• Proficiency in English.

Tasks:

• Ensure safe commissioning, start-up, and maintenance activities.
• Conduct safety walkdowns and report hazards or incidents.
• Approve work permits and monitor compliance with safety standards.
• Supervise pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up operations.
• Coordinate with specialists, vendors, and process/control teams.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Manage contractor personnel and logistics for smooth operations.
• Prepare, validate, and maintain technical and maintenance reports.
• Suggest improvements to procedures and resolve operational issues.
• Track pending works and potential risks to prevent inefficiencies.
• Organize team schedules, rotations, and training needs.
• Monitor team performance and provide coaching and mentoring.
• Promote and enforce HSE rules and safe work practices.
