About the Role
We’re seeking a Commissions & Incentive Compensation Leader to oversee and scale Aptean’s global variable compensation programs. This role is ideal for someone who can move fluidly between strategic plan design, hands-on process management, and cross-functional leadership.
You’ll own the full lifecycle of our commissions and incentive processes — from plan design and modeling to system oversight, payroll processing, reporting, and governance. You’ll partner with Sales Operations, Finance, and HR to ensure plans are aligned, compliant, and motivating as Aptean continues its global expansion.
Experience with CaptivateIQ (or similar systems like Xactly, Varicent, or Anaplan) is preferred, but not required — we’re more interested in someone who knows how to make systems and processes work together efficiently.
What You’ll Do

Lead the design, rollout, and management of global sales and professional services incentive programs

Partner with Sales Ops, Finance, and HR to ensure alignment between business goals and compensation design

Manage monthly commission execution — plan delivery, statement generation, and payroll submission

Evaluate and optimize compensation processes and system performance

Manage vendor relationships and guide enhancements to tools and automation

Provide visibility into performance metrics, forecasting, and accruals for Finance and GTM leadership

Identify opportunities to improve scalability, transparency, and control in compensation operations

Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on variable comp strategy, structure, and governance
About You

Bachelor’s degree or 5+ yearsof experience in Commissions, Sales Compensation, or Sales Operations

Experience with CaptivateIQ, Xactly, Varicent, or other commission automation tools preferred

Experience with salesforce is a plus, as salesforce feeds deal data into CapIQ.

Proven experience designing and managing global incentive programs

Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable insights

Exceptional collaboration and communication skills — comfortable interfacing with executives and cross-functional teams
