Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Communication Engineer based in Al Khobar.

•  Design, implement, and maintain communication systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop communication solutions that meet client needs.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on communication equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations during installation and maintenance.
• Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and proposals for communication projects.
• Monitor and evaluate system performance, making recommendations for improvements.
• Provide technical support and training to team members and clients as needed.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in communication engineering.

Design and Development:

• Lead the design and development of telecom systems for oil and gas projects during the FEED and detailed design phases.
• Prepare and review engineering designs, specifications, and technical drawings for telecom systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Develop detailed engineering documents such as block diagrams, P&IDs, cable schedules, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts.
• Working knowledge of KSA HCIS framework.

Subsystems and Network Integration:

• Design and integrate various telecom subsystems, including PAGA (Public Address and General Alarm), CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television), LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), telephony, radio systems, and fire & gas detection systems.
• Ensure seamless integration and interoperability of telecom systems with existing network infrastructure.

Technical Expertise:

• Provide technical expertise and support in the selection of telecom equipment and materials.
• Conduct technical evaluations, vendor selections, and participate in technical bid evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and best practices, such as IEC, NEC, and API.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Preferably in Computer or Communication).
• Over 5 years of experience in Telecom/IT/ELV Engineering Projects.
• One or more certifications from Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, and CommScope.
• Design and Engineering capabilities
• Hands-on experience in network integration, deployment, and support.
• Proficient in LAN & WAN technologies, with expertise in monitoring and troubleshooting network links.
