Position

The Communication Director will be responsible for managing all the Press activities, the overall planning, organization, and company press strategies, in line with the positioning of the FENDI brand and the specific target audience of the assigned markets. S/He will coordinate all the activities aiming to obtain a constructive and effective management of the PR team and collaborative working relationships within the relevant markets press community. S/He will be partnering with the relevant Retail Directors and their teams building and supervising all relevant activities happening across the assigned retail network.

Job responsibilities

  • Nurture brand image, maintain and protect brand integrity across all platforms and through storytelling activities about relevant products, the various product categories, corporate stories and projects
  • Ensure that corporate and product image is communicated, in a proper and consistent manner
  • Develop quantitative and qualitative PR plans
  • Plan and oversees press days communication activities
  • Establish and drive a local multi-channel communications and PR strategy and campaigns related to corporate and products in line with Corporate guidelines.
  • Manage, lead and execute PR strategy development and campaign implementation to support new store openings, product launches, key selling occasions and Company branding.
  • Develop, lead, and manage relations with local media members and influencers
  • Lead all local PR activities and editorial coverage (online and offline), ensuring editorial ranking hitting pre-set targets, compose and edit press releases, develop quantitative and qualitative PR plans
  • Monitor and report on competitors activities and relevant industry trends, events and opportunities.
  • Lead and oversee local sample management activities
  • Manage external PR agencies and their deliverables where relevant
  • Manage and monitor the local communication budget and expenses

Profile

  • Master's or Bachelors degree in a relevant field, including journalism, public relations, communication, or marketing
  • Fluent in English; French and Italian are a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly when dealing with an international, multilingual audience
  • Excellent Knowledge of ME media sector and audience
  • Very good knowledge of the main players in the Fashion Luxury Business
  • Prior Experience (at least 5 years) in Luxury/Fashion as Journalist/Magazine Editor, or PR/Press Manager
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to details and strong luxury sense
  • Ability to understand current market trends
  • Ability to both communicate and negotiate effectively
  • Possess leadership skills in order to develop and train others.
  • Results oriented and able to work under pressure on tight deadlines.

FENDI
MAISON

The Fendi Maison was established by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Rome in 1925. The opening of the first Fendi boutique – a handbag shop and fur workshop followed. Soon winning international acclaim, Fendi emerged as a brand renowned for its elegance, craftsmanship, innovation and style.
