Scope of Position:
Support Lifeshape’s organizational communication efforts by assisting with the creation of written and visual content as well as the management of storytelling platforms, visual assets and creative projects. This role strengthens Lifeshape’s mission by producing clear, engaging and consistent communication across Lifeshape teams, partners and audiences.
Reports to: Sr. Communications Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Support production of Lifeshape’s monthly e‑newsletter, The Boarding Pass, by writing short stories and teasers, managing content requests, selecting or creating visual assets, building the newsletter in Mailchimp, and performing desktop/mobile testing for accuracy and functionality.
- Maintain Lifeshape’s digital storytelling platforms, including updating photo, video, and written content on interactive kiosks, websites and other digital displays.
- Contribute to creative content needs based on skillset — such as graphic design (collateral, signage), photography (event coverage and editing), or video production (editing clips, conducting interviews, organizing footage).
- Assist with communication and coordination efforts for major events, including preparation and rebranding for Life 2026.
- Gather storytelling assets by interviewing project participants; organize and edit photos submitted by project teams.
- Create written content for key communication channels including weekly project prayer updates and stories for other quarterly communications.
- Support the development and visual design of PowerPoint presentations for Lifeshape experiences.
- Perform additional communications‑related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- An evangelical believer committed to Christian service consistent with our organizational purpose, mission, and beliefs who is actively involved in a Christian church and living out his/her faith daily.
- Working toward a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, graphic design, video production or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and project‑coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively across teams.
- Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud; experience with Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Mailchimp and project management software, like Asana, a plus.
- Familiarity with AP Style preferred.
