The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing clear, consistent, and compelling internal and external communications that strengthen The Garrett Companies’ brand, reputation, and culture. This role owns communication strategy and execution across social media, public relations, campaigns, awards, and executive visibility, ensuring messaging is aligned, intentional, and impactful.
As a strategic communicator and content leader, the Communications Manager serves as the steward of brand voice and messaging across all audiences, including internal teams, media, industry partners, and external stakeholders. This role continuously tracks performance, media coverage, and campaign effectiveness to ensure measurable impact and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities and Duties
Social Media & Visual Storytelling
Manage and execute the company’s social media presence across all platforms.
Create engaging short-form and visual-first content, including Reels, video clips, photos, and behind-the-scenes storytelling.
Capture and curate visual content from projects, events, and team activities to support brand storytelling.
Monitor engagement metrics and adjust content to increase reach, interaction, and audience growth.
Public Relations & Storytelling
Identify and develop compelling stories that highlight company projects, people, culture, and milestones.
Draft and distribute press releases, media pitches, and announcements to support company visibility and reputation.
Serve as a point of contact for media inquiries, coordinating responses, interviews, and supporting materials.
Content Planning & Execution
Develop and manage a content calendar that aligns with company priorities, milestones, and storytelling opportunities.
Create written and visual content for internal and external communications, including announcements, updates, and campaigns.
Collaborate with teams across the organization to surface stories, accomplishments, and moments worth sharing.
Ensure all content reflects the company’s brand voice and messaging standards.
Industry Presence & Recognition
Support conference participation by assisting with speaking submissions, materials, and promotion.
