Communications Manager
Summary/ Objective:
Oxbridge Academy seeks a strategic and creative Communications Manager to support and execute the school’s internal and external communications efforts. Reporting to the Director of Communications, this role plays a key part in advancing the school’s voice across platforms, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with Oxbridge’s mission and brand. The Communications Manager will contribute to storytelling, community engagement, and institutional visibility through thoughtful content creation and coordinated communications strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and implementation of an annual comprehensive communications plan working in partnership with the communications team
- Ensure consistent voice, tone, and visual identity across all communications
- Uphold brand standards across departments and platforms
- Produce high-quality written content, including website copy, newsletters, press releases, feature stories, and leadership messaging
- Identify and develop compelling stories that highlight student experiences, faculty impact, and programmatic innovation
- Manage and maintain an editorial calendar in coordination with internal stakeholders
- Assist in drafting messaging to the school community
- Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator on social media outreach
- Lead Alumni relations outreach and relationship
- Help with project management including printing, graphics, signage etc.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to support events and strategic initiatives
- Develop promotional content and messaging for campaigns and key programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, marketing, or related field with 3–5+ years of related experience
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Strong understanding of digital communications, social media platforms, and analytics
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and versatile
- Experience in event coordination, media relations, public relations and marketing
- Familiarity with content management systems like Veracross, Finalsite
- Experience with Adobe, Adobe Express, Canva, Illustrator, Premier
