JOB TITLE: Leasing Consultant

In this role, you will be working with prospective residents to actively market our apartments within the community. The successful candidate needs to be passionate about building relationships and making a difference with people. You will promote the community, its amenities, achieve a level of customer service that identifies with our standards of operation, and meet the occupancy goals set for the community.
Dalmark Management Group is a regional property management and real estate development company, working primarily in Kansas and Missouri. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits program.
SUMMARY
The Leasing Consultant is to assist the Community Manager in effectively and efficiently marketing and leasing the community to prospective residents. The Leasing Consultant’s primary responsibility will be to convert telephone, internet, and walk-in prospects to leases, resulting in maintained and increased occupancy. The Leasing Consultant will also assist with managing resident relations and demonstrating superior customer service in all duties and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Network with prospective residents to understand their residential needs and requirements and source new sales opportunities
· Introduce prospective residents to the community with particular attention to the apartment features, design, amenities, and customer service
· Monitor telephone, internet, and walk-in traffic at property via guest cards and the software program
· Optimize building occupancy by closing new residential leases, renewals and achieving established sales quotas
· Connect with customers and residents to generate sales and leasing results
· Provide a positive and professional customer service experience
· Accept resident/commercial tenant Work Order requests and enter them into the software program and route to maintenance for prompt processing
· Accurately prepare all lease-related documentation in accordance with Fair Housing and established company policies
· Implementing the marketing platform for the community
· Demonstrating superior customer service in all duties and responsibilities
· Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments.

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
SKILLS
· Experience and expertise with Microsoft Office, required
· Experience with a property management software program (Yardi, OneSite, etc.), preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The team member will be regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands. The employee may occasionally be required to climb. Employee will be required to work at a personal computer and talk on the phone for extended periods of time. Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work extended/flexible hours and weekends, as needed.
