We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Community Manager to support the early development and operational setup of a gated 55+ active adult community. This is a salaried, hybrid position that will transition to on-site work once the community office is built. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, professional, and comfortable working in an evolving environment while helping establish policies, procedures, and resident engagement standards for a growing community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily community operations during the pre-development phase
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, volunteers, and stakeholders
- Assist with policy development, community guidelines, and operational workflows
- Coordinate communication with residents regarding rules, amenities, and updates
- Ensure professionalism, confidentiality, and respectful conduct across the community
- Support onboarding and guidance of volunteers and future staff
- Assist with event coordination and resident engagement initiatives
- Help prepare for the transition to a fully operational on-site office
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and communications
Qualifications:
- Experience working in community management, property management, HOA, or senior or active adult communities preferred
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid/pre-development environment
- Professional demeanor with a strong understanding of confidentiality and boundaries
- Comfortable working with older adults in a respectful and service-oriented manner
- Proficiency with basic office software and virtual communication tools
Work Environment & Expectations:
- Hybrid role until community office construction is completed
- Periodic on-site presence within the gated community will be required
- Business professional appearance required during on-site work
