Community Manager

A well-established property management firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Community Manager to oversee operations at a mid-sized affordable housing community in Silver Spring, MD. This is a high-impact leadership role for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands affordable housing compliance, and is passionate about driving performance, team engagement, and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and overall community performance
  • Ensure compliance with HUD, Project-Based Section 8, and LIHTC (Tax Credit) regulations
  • Manage budgets, financial reporting, and occupancy/delinquency goals
  • Lead, train, and develop on-site team members
  • Drive leasing and marketing strategies
  • Maintain property standards and oversee maintenance operations
  • Deliver excellent customer service and manage resident relations

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of property management experience
  • 3–5+ years in affordable housing (HUD/Project-Based Section 8 required)
  • LIHTC (Tax Credit) experience required
  • Strong compliance background
  • Proven leadership and financial management skills
  • Proficiency in Yardi, Excel, and Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual (preferred)
