Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Community Manager to oversee the daily operations and resident relations within our 132 unit apartment community. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of property management practices, and excellent communication abilities. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring resident satisfaction while maintaining compliance with housing regulations and fostering a positive community atmosphere. Experience with Appfolio, Section 8 and legal administrative procedures is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day community operations, including leasing, renewals, and resident relations
- Coordinate property leasing activities, including conducting tours and upselling available units
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, and other legal requirements
- Handle tenant inquiries, resolve conflicts, and maintain positive relationships through effective conflict management and customer service skills
- Oversee property maintenance requests and coordinate with facilities management teams to ensure timely resolution
- Maintain accurate data entry in property management systems such as Yardi or OneSite; manage contracts and legal documentation
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure property standards are upheld and facilitate necessary repairs or improvements
- Manage administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and record keeping related to leasing agreements, contracts, and compliance documentation
- Assist in marketing efforts through effective communication and upselling of available units or services
- Support lease administration processes including legal documentation, rent collection, and tenant screening
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administration; experience with Section 8, and Fair Housing regulations is required
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, contracts, and legal administrative procedures
- Proficiency with property management software such as Appfolio, OneSite, or CMMS systems
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with experience in data entry, filing, and office administration
- Ability to negotiate effectively and handle sensitive situations with discretion
- Experience in sales or upselling within a property management context is a plus
- Facilities management knowledge is beneficial for coordinating property maintenance activities
- Administrative experience combined with excellent communication skills to foster positive resident relationships

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
