Community Manager

La Causa Development, a fully-owned for-profit subsidiary of Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

You will be responsible for the operational oversight of assigned residential properties, ensuring consistent execution of leasing functions, vendor management, and building operations. You will support the development and monitoring of operating budgets and capital plans in coordination with the Regional Manager.

You will maintain strong tenant relationships, oversee service delivery from vendors and contractors, and ensure all contractual obligations are met. You will also contribute to maintaining compliance standards and operational efficiency across assigned assets while supporting long-term property performance objectives.

WHO YOU ARE?

You are a detail-oriented and operationally focused professional with experience managing residential properties or supporting property management functions in a structured environment. You are comfortable balancing tenant relations, vendor coordination, and financial oversight while maintaining organizational standards.

You demonstrate sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. You communicate clearly and professionally with tenants, vendors, and internal stakeholders and are committed to maintaining operational consistency and accountability.

  • Education /Background:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); work experience in lieu of education
  • Prior property manager experience or assistant manager experience

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Employee will be expected to participate in continuous learning, competency building and maintenance of competency skills.
