The Labor Guild is seeking a creative, energetic, and mission-driven Community Outreach & Marketing Coordinator to grow awareness of our organization, expand community partnerships, and promote our educational programs and events.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys marketing, communications, social media, event planning, and relationship building while making a meaningful impact in the labor and nonprofit communities.

About the Labor Guild

For more than 80 years, the Labor Guild has empowered workers, labor leaders, and community members through education, leadership development, and advocacy rooted in social and economic justice. Through classes, conferences, workshops, and special events, we help strengthen the labor-management community throughout Greater Boston and New England.

What You'll Do

You'll play a key role in growing the Guild's visibility and engagement by:

  • Developing marketing campaigns to promote classes, events, and programs.
  • Managing and creating engaging content for social media, newsletters, email campaigns, and the Guild website.
  • Building relationships with unions, community organizations, students, and supporters.
  • Assisting with planning and promoting educational programs, conferences, fundraising initiatives, and special events, including the annual Cushing-Gavin Awards.
  • Expanding membership and community engagement through outreach and networking.
  • Representing the Guild at meetings and community events.
  • Collaborating with staff and the Board of Directors on initiatives that advance the Guild's mission.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Is passionate about community engagement and social impact.
  • Has strong communication, marketing, and storytelling skills.
  • Enjoys creating digital content and growing audiences.
  • Is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects.
  • Has experience with social media platforms, Canva, Mailchimp, and Microsoft Office.
  • Is familiar with Zoom and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Experience with WordPress, graphic design, photography, or video editing is a plus.

What We Offer

  • $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
  • Full-time (40 hours/week)

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
  • Successful CORI and social media background check
