The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to serve as the Community and Victim Services Coordinator. Under general direction, the Community and Victim Services Coordinator serves as a non-sworn, civilian employee responsible for coordinating community and victim support services, with a focus on victims of human trafficking, exploitation, substance abuse, and crisis-related crimes. This role builds and sustains partnerships with law enforcement, social service providers, and community-based organizations to enhance care coordination, treatment pathways, and victim advocacy. Performs related duties as required. This classification is designated as uncovered; the incumbent serves at the pleasure of the Director of the Department of Public Safety. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
1. Coordinates multidisciplinary victim services programs across statewide public safety operations.2. Provides culturally competent care, coordination, and follow-up support for victims of crimes including human trafficking, child exploitation, drug-related incidents, and crisis events.3. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with law enforcement, prosecutors, rehabilitation and treatment providers, victim advocates, non-profit organizations, and local/state agencies.4. Conducts outreach and facilitates engagement with drug diversion and crisis treatment programs for eligible victims.5. Assesses gaps in victim services and recommends improvements or innovative solutions.6. Plans, develops, and delivers training for law enforcement and allied professionals on trauma-informed care, victim support practices, and interagency coordination.7. Attends interagency meetings, task forces, and community boards representing AZDPS interests in victim services.8. Maintains accurate and confidential records, prepares required reports, and tracks service delivery metrics.9. Supports statewide public safety initiatives relating to victim rights, criminal justice reform, and behavioral health response.10. Performs special assignments or administrative duties as directed.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, public health, psychology, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience providing victim services or coordinating crisis intervention programs; OR five (5) years of directly related work experience in victim advocacy, case management, or a closely aligned field.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver license by employment date.Must be reasonably available for callouts.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: May be required to work irregular hours, evenings, weekends, and respond to critical incidents.Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region and occasionally statewide.Ability to sit, stand, or drive for extended periods.May encounter emotionally charged or traumatic casework environments.
