Visiting Angels Gastonia has been providing dependable in-home senior care in Gastonia, Cramerton, Kings Mountain, Shelby, Belmont and throughout Gaston, Cleveland and Lincoln Counties for many years. Our home care company focuses on providing seniors the support they need to live out their golden years in the home they’ve known and loved. Whether your loved one needs assistance with everyday tasks or is recovering from an injury or chronic illness, our caregivers will be there to provide the one-on-one, personalized care they deserve.

Role Overview:

As a Compassionate Caregiver at Visiting Angels, you will be responsible for delivering personalized, non-medical home care services to enhance the quality of life for older adults. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our team to ensure our clients receive the support they need to maintain their independence, well-being, and happiness. You will be an integral part of our mission to create a harmonious balance of care for our clients while feeling fulfilled in your own work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one companionship and assistance with daily living activities.
• Assist clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal hygiene.
• Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to uplift their spirits.
• Record and report any changes in the client’s condition to your supervisor.
• Collaborate with other caregivers to provide comprehensive support and care.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

• Compassionate and dedicated to improving the lives of seniors.
• Strong communication skills, including fluency in English.
• Ability to connect with seniors and their families with empathy and respect.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of integrity.
• Prior experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required.

Bonus If You:

• Have additional certifications in caregiving or elder support.
• Are familiar with activities and exercises beneficial for seniors.
• Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a Part-Time position, available Monday through Friday.

Location:

This position is on-site only in Gastonia, North Carolina.
