This position may be performed remotely; however, candidates must reside within Montana. This will be a temporary position.
Position Summary:
The Compensation Analyst administers Bozeman Health's compensation plan and will have primary responsibility for completing salary surveys, evaluating current positions and determining wage scales, and scoring candidates and positions. Works collaboratively with HR leadership to ensure that the compensation program supports both short and long term business objectives and continues to be competitive and cost effective. Works with Bozeman Health Medical Group (BHMG) leadership to assist with salary data for providers as requested. Partners with HR team to audit compensation and data accuracy within HRIS, makes corrections/changes as needed with appropriate documentation, provides compensation-related reports as requested, and assists managers, employees, and HR team members with report running out of various HR systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care administration, finance, or human resources; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Three (3) years of human resources experience in a professional office environment

One (1) year of compensation analyst/administration experience

Three (3) years of Microsoft Office experience with advanced experience using Excel

Essential Job Functions:
In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

Administers compensation plan by completing annual salary surveys for all Bozeman Health positions, scoring new job descriptions to assess appropriate salary range, scoring candidates for wage, partnering with HR management on annual salary increase process, and completing periodic audits of compensation information in HRIS to ensure accuracy.

Provides compensation education and communication by meeting with employees and managers regarding the compensation policy and practice, education managers on policy and pay for performance strategy, providing guidance on goal setting and job descriptions to ensure appropriate scoring for jobs and adequate information for performance evaluations, and monitoring annual evaluations to ensure completion for the purpose of determining annual salary increases.

Assist with administering provider compensation including making adjustments as needed, populating contract information for new and existing BHMG providers, and collaborating with HR term members to make necessary adjustments to HRIS for payroll accuracy.

Partners with HR team members to populate annual total rewards statements and ad-hoc reporting requests.
