As a
Compensation & Benefits Section Head
, you will lead and oversee the development, implementation, and management of the organization’s compensation and benefits strategies. Your role is critical in ensuring competitive, fair, and compliant reward programs that attract, motivate, and retain top talent, while aligning with the company’s business objectives and budgetary framework.
Your responsibilities will encompass the following key areas:
Strategic Planning and Policy Development:

Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive compensation and benefits policies, frameworks, and programs.

Ensure alignment of compensation and benefits strategies with organizational goals, market trends, and best practices.

Review and update salary structures, grading systems, and incentive schemes on a regular basis.
Compensation Management:

Oversee job evaluation, salary benchmarking, and market surveys to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.

Design and manage short-term and long-term incentive plans, bonuses, and reward programs.

Ensure accurate and timely implementation of salary reviews, promotions, and adjustments.
Benefits Administration:

Manage employee benefits programs including medical insurance, social insurance, retirement plans, allowances, and other employee perks.

Evaluate and negotiate with benefit providers to ensure cost-effective and competitive offerings.

Ensure effective communication of benefits programs to employees.
Compliance and Governance:

Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal governance policies related to compensation and benefits.

Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.

Maintain accurate documentation and records related to compensation and benefits practices.
Team Leadership:

Manage, mentor, and develop the Compensation & Benefits team to ensure high performance and consistency.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development plans for team members.
Data Analysis and Reporting:

Prepare and present detailed compensation and benefits reports, dashboards, and analyses to senior management.

Analyze trends, costs, and workforce data to support strategic decision-making.

Monitor budget utilization related to compensation and benefits.
Stakeholder Management:

Partner closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to support workforce planning and organizational changes.

Provide expert advice to management on reward-related matters and organizational impact.
Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to enhance compensation and benefits programs to improve employee engagement and retention.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data, feedback, and market insights.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.

10-12 years of progressive experience in Compensation & Benefits or Total Rewards, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Strong experience in compensation structures, benefits design, and reward strategy.

In-depth knowledge of local labor laws, social insurance regulations, and market practices.

Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and drive organizational change.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and HRIS / compensation management systems.

Professional certifications such as
CIPD, SHRM, CCP, or equivalent
are highly preferred.
