SUMMARY OF JOB CLASSIFICATION:
The Competency Court Coordinator oversees the administrative functions and procedural workflow of the competency court, competency diversion, and/or related competency programs. This role involves managing data entry, coordinating referrals, evaluations, and facilitating communication among stakeholders involved in competency court cases and those being diverted from the competency continuum. May supervise 1 or more full-time employees.
This position is a 0.5 full-time equivalent (FTE) role consisting of 20 hours per week. The monthly salary range for this role is $3,078.67 to $4,464.08.

Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary team meetings in conjunction with competency court dockets, competency diversion, and/or competency programs prior to and/or after court sessions, acting as the project leader to ensure effective collaboration.
Lead and manage data collection, policy development, and accurate record-keeping for competency court, competency diversion, and/or related competency programs, ensuring compliance through the DIMS system.
Manage and coordinate local steering committees, including facilitating effective communication among service providers for competency court, competency diversion, and/or related competency programs, and demonstrating strong leadership skills.
Inform the court and relevant parties of whether participant meets the minimum qualifications for competency court, competency diversion, and/or related competency programs.
Collaborate with the State Court Administrator’s Office to conduct program evaluations, make necessary adjustments to the program, provide training, and ensure overall success for competency court, competency diversion, and/or related competency programs.
Write and manage grants and related budgets to support resources for clients and the courts as needed.
Coordinate memorandum of understanding (MOUs), policies, and procedures related to competency court, competency diversion, and/or related competency programs, ensuring alignment and effective service delivery.
Conduct and participate in training for stakeholder groups, including Judicial personnel, service providers, and community partners, to ensure proper understanding and implementation of competency court, competency diversion, and related competency programs, showcasing leadership capabilities.
Attends meetings and trainings as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Equivalency:
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public or court administration, or related field.
OR
Additional work experience in these or other related fields may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required formal education.
Work Related Experience:
Three years of experience in criminal justice, mental health, or related field.
Licenses and Certifications:
None.
Work Environment:
Good-Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.
