Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement short and long-term strategic plans aligned with Rotana s commercial strategy to achieve the hotel s revenue and profitability targets
  • Identify and seize business opportunities by conducting market research, analyzing trends, and monitoring competitor activity
  • Set pricing strategies and sales targets to optimize revenue generation
  • Actively use Rotana s sales tools and resources to deepen the understanding of customer patterns and assist in developing relevant products and packages
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to optimize occupancy and rate across all market segments.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and build relationships with key clients and industry partners
  • Monitor and report on sales performance against targets and develop action plans to address any gaps
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies as needed

Sales Management

  • Corporate & Government Account
  • Leverage Rotana s strong corporate network across GCC, Levant, and Africa.
  • Drive penetration of key UAE/GCC government and semi-government accounts.
  • Leisure & Travel Trade
  • Maximize production from regional tour operators, OTAs, and DMCs with a strong focus on GCC feeder markets.
  • Negotiate tactical leisure packages during seasonal peaks (Eid, summer, school holidays).
  • MICE & Groups
  • Position the hotel as a preferred destination for corporate meetings, weddings, and social events.
  • Collaborate with Rotana s Regional and Global Sales Offices for international MICE business.

Marketing & Communications

  • Design and implement a yearly marketing plan tailored to rooms segmentation and food & beverage, aligning with revenue targets and guest satisfaction metrics.
  • Implement data-driven strategies to increase direct bookings and optimize guest engagement throughout the customer journey
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and set the hotel apart in the luxury segment
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors, travel partners, and luxury brands to expand the hotel s reach.
  • Shape and articulate the hotel s unique brand narrative across all channels- press releases, social media, digital campaigns, and guest communications.
  • Plan and execute photoshoots aligned with campaign objectives, including overseeing creative direction, and ensuring all visual assets authentically reflect the brand s identity and strategic goals.

Rotana Brand Alignment

  • Ensure the hotel follows Rotana corporate brand guidelines across all campaigns, visuals, and communication.
  • Implement Rotana-driven campaigns (e.g., Rotana Escapes) locally with strong ROI tracking.

Digital Marketing

  • Optimize hotel website content and booking engine (via Rotana.com) to increase direct contribution.
  • Manage PPC, SEO, and paid social campaigns through Rotana s centralized digital platforms.

Social Media & Content

  • Build local content calendars tailored to UAE/GCC audiences
  • Articulate the hotel s unique brand narrative across all channels

Public Relations

  • Build, nurture, and leverage strong relationships with local, national, and international media, influencers, and key opinion leaders to secure positive coverage and manage press inquiries with professionalism.
  • Work with Rotana s PR agency partners to secure media coverage and influencer collaborations.
  • Integrate CSR initiatives into the hotel s communications plan, highlighting sustainability programs, community outreach, charitable partnerships, and employee volunteerism.

F&B Marketing

  • Position the hotel s restaurants and lounges as destinations for both residents and in-house guests.
  • Create tactical promotions with measurable ROI (e.g., brunches, business lunches, seasonal campaigns).

Loyalty & CRM (Rotana Rewards)

  • Implement data-driven strategies to increase direct bookings and optimize guest engagement throughout the customer journey
  • Increase penetration of Rotana Rewards members across rooms and F&B.
  • Monitor guest feedback to improve NPS and loyalty.

Distribution & Channel Optimization

  • Direct Contribution
  • Increase Rotana.com and mobile app bookings to reduce reliance on OTAs.
  • Ensure Book Direct benefits (discounts, F&B credits, upgrades) are communicated clearly.
  • OTA Management
  • Maintain rate parity across channels.
  • GDS & Corporate RFPs
  • Ensure strong presence in GDS channels to support corporate production.
  • Manage RFP submissions via Lanyon and other platforms in collaboration with Rotana s Sales Offices.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to drive efficiency and enhance the guest experience.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and sales strategies and adjust as needed to achieve business goals.

Leadership

  • Build, manage, motivate, and empower a high-performing team to achieve business objectives
  • Provide clear direction, set expectations, and delegate responsibilities effectively
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional development of team members

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree and above (in Hospitality, Business, or Marketing)
  • Passion for hospitality industry and customer centric mindset
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in sales & marketing, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role
  • Advance business capability, include strategic thinking and planning, business acumen, leadership management, influence and communication skill, adaptability and resilience
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
