Compliance Inspector /Associate Property Manager

Job Summary
Large developing Home Owners Association in Clarksburg, MD needs a Full Time Compliance Inspector /Associate Property Manager to handle all aspects of the property.

Qualifications for this position are: Must be knowledgeable in all phases (financial, administrative, and facilities) of community association management; Maintain homeowner’s records; Perform routine inspections of the community; Professionally handle concerns with homeowners/contractors; Quick-learner and ability to meet deadlines with accuracy.

Requirements for this position are excellent organization, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; Strong administrative skills; Ability to multi-task and set priorities; Microsoft Office experience preferred and highly recommended;

Salary range is, based on Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to property management and leasing.
  • Review contracts and agreements to ensure adherence to legal standards.
  • Conduct regular audits of property management practices to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance on conflict management and resolution strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, including data entry and filing of important documents.
  • Assist in the training of staff on compliance-related topics, including fair housing regulations and landlord-tenant law.
  • Collaborate with property management teams to ensure adherence to policies regarding property maintenance and leasing practices.
  • Utilize software such as Yardi, OneSite, or CMMS for effective data management and reporting.
  • Engage in customer service activities to address tenant inquiries related to compliance issues.
  • Support sales initiatives by providing compliance insights that enhance customer relationship management.

Experience

  • Proven experience in legal administrative roles or real estate administration is preferred.
  • Familiarity with LIHTC, Section 8 programs, landlord-tenant law, and fair housing regulations is essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a background in contracts management.
  • Experience in property management or facilities management is highly desirable.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on conflict resolution and relationship building.
  • Proficiency in office tasks including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and administrative support.
