Intellectual Property Attorney/Patent Agent (Mechanical)

The Role
We’re looking for a motivated attorney or patent agent with a background in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering with mechanical experience to join our team. You’ll play an integral role in helping clients secure and protect their IP while developing a well-rounded skillset across prosecution, counseling, and strategy.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses
• Drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications in the U.S. and abroad
• Advising clients on portfolio management and IP strategy
• Collaborating directly with clients to align IP with business goals
• Staying up to date on developments in patent law and relevant technologies

What We’re Looking For

• JD (or patent agent credentials) with admission to the USPTO
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
• 1+ years of patent experience (firm or in-house)
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset
