Take Ownership

As our Compliance & KYC Analyst, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding bunq’s ecosystem and ensuring every user feels secure and respected:

• Conduct thorough reviews of user accounts and activity to ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and EDD standards, escalating complex cases when needed

• Communicate clearly and empathetically with users while maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to process improvements

• Collaborate with compliance, risk, and operations teams to enhance review workflows and uphold bunq’s commitment to trust and transparency

• You’re detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment

• You have experience in KYC, EDD, or AML processes—or are eager to learn and grow in this space

• You’re fluent in English and comfortable communicating with users across cultures

• You’re proactive, curious, and committed to upholding integrity and fairness

• You’re a team player who enjoys solving problems and improving systems collaboratively

Hybrid setup: after 3 months in-office, work 2 days remote, 3 days in-office weekly.

Hiring Timeline and what to expect:

• After applying, you’ll go through 2 online assessments (one by one):

  • bunq fit assessment (takes about 20 mins) - please finalize it within 5 days after receiving

  • skills assessment (takes about 30-40 mins) - please finalize it within 5 days after the bunq fit assessment

• In case it’s positive, we’ll invite you to a recruiter call to understand better how you match bunq’s values and culture.

• By 3rd of November, we’ll start interviews with the team lead.

• The final step takes place from 17th to the 28th of November (you can read more about our Get Shit Done day here)

Note: Since we run some parts of our recruitment in groups, timelines may depend on all candidates completing the same step - this way, everyone gets a fair and equal chance. In case you are not able to proceed within this timeline and we don’t come to an agreement, there is an opportunity for joining the next group.
