Summary
The Compliance Monitoring & Testing Analyst plays a critical role in the development and execution of the Credit Union’s Compliance Monitoring & Testing Program. This position is responsible for conducting ongoing compliance testing, quality control reviews, and risk-based monitoring activities to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices. They will identify deficiencies through testing, communicate findings to the appropriate business units, and track and support all remediation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of the annual Compliance Monitoring and Testing Program, including collaboration in designing compliance test plans.
- Perform detailed compliance reviews, including analyzing data from internal systems, transaction histories, member communications, and internal notes to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to learn about current processes to aid in the creation of Compliance test plans.
- Create thorough documentation of all aspects of testing, including population, sample, testing steps, potential and confirmed findings, root cause analysis and recommendations for remediation.
- Track and report on the status of corrective actions related to testing reviews, ensuring timely resolution of compliance issues.
- Improves and documents internal processes wherever appropriate.
- Prepare materials for audits, exams, and management reporting as requested.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Compliance Department’s testing framework by attending internal and external training sessions, seminars, and workshops to enhance knowledge of regulations, internal processes, industry best practices, and testing methodology.
- Maintain current knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations.
- Assists in oversight of compliance issues management by tracking issues from identification through resolution in coordination with business units and compliance leadership.

Qualifications & Experience
Required:- 1-3 years’ experience in financial institution compliance, internal audit, or risk management, focusing on banking regulations, testing, and compliance
- 1-3 years’ branch operations, lending, and branch member service experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field
- Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance frameworks for credit unions, compliance monitoring, regulatory engagement, and internal control oversight
