Finance - Remote in North Dakota - Compliance Auditor
As a Compliance Auditor, you will provide comprehensive review of services to management across different departments and agencies. You will play a key role in improving operations and efficiencies by eliminating gaps and implementing audit recommendations. You will determine whether policies, procedures, and controls are compliant with state and federal regulations. You will also assess whether departments and programs operate economically and efficiently in accordance with statutory requirements. You will validate and implement recommendations made by external auditors. You will conduct testing, assist with internal reviews, gather information, and collaborate with program staff to develop and execute corrective action plans. You will complete Closing Packages for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Review. Additionally, you will play a big role in determining risk for the agency.

You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to adapt to any situation., You are adept at shifting seamlessly between tasks and responsibilities, meeting deadlines consistently, and knowing when to seek guidance or support to ensure accuracy and timeliness. This position requires integrity, accountability, and transparency in all work, including owning errors and following through on commitments.
To be considered for this position, you are required to have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance AND two (2) years of accounting or audit experience.
This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.

Location: ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. Depending on the role, employees may work from home, onsite or both. This position is remote in North Dakota with some travel to Bismarck, ND.
