Payroll & HR Compliance Specialist
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables –
(India, Singapore, Indonesia, GCC, and Egypt)
1. Regulatory Research & Monitoring

Track, interpret, and analyses developments in payroll, employment, social security, and taxation regulations across assigned jurisdictions.

Maintain a centralized repository of statutory notifications, circulars, gazette updates, and regulator-issued clarifications for each country.

Prepare country-specific compliance summaries, identifying key statutory changes (e.g., EPF/ESI in India, CPF in Singapore, BPJS in Indonesia, GOSI in GCC, and Social Insurance Law in Egypt).

Conduct impact assessments of new or upcoming laws, highlighting implications for payroll operations, HR systems, and employee benefits.
2. Advisory & Product Support

Translate regulatory requirements into business-ready compliance guidance for product, payroll, and HR teams.

Advise on statutory computation logic (e.g., income tax, gratuity, social insurance, overtime, leave encashment) to ensure system accuracy.

Support product localization for multi-country payroll modules by mapping compliance rules, reporting formats, and regulator-mandated templates.

Provide clarifications on country-specific employment law requirements including wage protection, termination benefits, and end-of-service calculations.

Assist in security, IT and product audit and ensure compliance with relevant statutory provisions.
3. Compliance Knowledge Management

Develop and maintain a compliance knowledge base covering payroll and HR statutory frameworks for India, Singapore, Indonesia, GCC, and Egypt.

Curate and periodically update country compliance matrices, including filing timelines, return formats, and authority portals.

Create and update internal compliance handbooks, FAQs, and customer-facing guidance documents to promote consistent interpretation.

Contribute to training content and workshops for internal teams and clients on key statutory obligations and product compliance readiness.
4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with product managers, legal advisors, and engineering teams to ensure compliance is embedded in product design and release cycles.

Partner with customer success, payroll operations, and support teams to resolve country-specific statutory queries.

Engage and coordinate with external consultants or local payroll partners for validation of regulatory interpretations and secondary research findings.

Liaise with regulatory authorities and statutory boards (e.g., EPFO, CPF Board, BPJS, GOSI, MOHRE), as needed, to clarify complex or ambiguous compliance issues.
5. Deliverables

Monthly statutory update briefs summarizing key legal and regulatory changes across jurisdictions.

Quarterly impact assessment reports highlighting potential system or process modifications.

Compliance matrices and trackers covering contribution rates, wage ceilings, and filing due dates.

Country-specific statutory configuration guides for payroll and HR modules.

Knowledge repository updates (laws, FAQs, and standard templates) maintained on internal collaboration platforms.

Periodic compliance review reports to confirm continued alignment of payroll operations with statutory obligations.
