Monday through Friday, 25 hours per week. This position is required to work in office at Austin headquarters.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior at an accredited college or university, or a recent graduate within one year, with major coursework in communications, digital media, photojournalism, advertising, public relations, or related field.
Professional experience in customer service, clerical, or administrative support work.
Summary of Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This position requires extensive computer, telephone and client/customer contact. The incumbent primarily performs sedentary office work; however, mobility (standing and walking) is routinely required to carry out various duties. This position requires the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed to perform filing and other similar routine office duties. Some lifting and/or moving, up to 35 lbs. of office equipment and/or materials may be required on a limited basis. The job also requires normal cognitive abilities, requiring the ability to learn, recall, and apply certain practices and policies. It requires the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions. Marginal or corrected visual and auditory requirements are required for reading printed materials and computer screens and communicating with internal and external customers
In this role you will:
Assist with evaluating file structures, naming conventions, metadata schemas, and archiving procedures for consistency, scalability, and long-term usability.
Maintains audiovisual media files, libraries, and catalogs, and develops documentation for standardization.
Assist with reconciling file location data in the content database, ensuring all records are complete, accurate, and consistently formatted.
Documents, implements, and maintains standards for YouTube metadata schema, including keywords, tags, visibility, and playlists.
Works collaboratively with communications staff, division teams, and agency customers.
Assist with assembling media coverage reports and preparing digital performance reports.
Participates in team meetings and contributes ideas.
Engages in learning opportunities related to public sector communications, digital media, and accessibility.
Research agency audiences, emerging digital trends, tools, and best practices, and provides recommendations to staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
