Reports to: Program Manager, School Eye Screening Program
Location: Various school sites, community locations, hospital liaison locations
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Occasional Work: Sundays or other holidays may occasionally require work, and will be compensated either with an alternate leave day or cash. The working hours for Sundays or holidays may be adjusted, but the total working hours will remain the same.

Timing: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
Transport: Transport will be provided from our base camp in Malir to different school and community locations in Karachi.

We are seeking a dedicated Refractionist to join our team in Karachi. This role involves conducting thorough refractions, ensuring accurate prescriptions, and playing a key part in our mission to improve children’s vision health through quality eye care.

Bachelors

Minimum 2 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

Manage on-site enrolment of beneficiaries during School Eye Screening Program (SESP) and community screening activities.

• Collect accurate personal details, demographic information, and preliminary vision-related history from beneficiaries in line with V4E data collection protocols.
• Verify completeness of forms and ensure that all mandatory fields are filled before passing data to the screening team.
• Assign and maintain unique identification numbers for all beneficiaries to ensure proper tracking through the screening, referral, and follow-up process.
• In case of non-working of application or technical issues, record data on physical forms and update in the system before the close of the same day.
• Coordinate with the V4E field team to ensure smooth flow of participants from enrolment to screening.
• Maintain a clear and organized record of daily enrolments and submit reports to the Program Officer or Team Coordinator.
• Safeguard all collected information in accordance with V4E’s data protection and confidentiality policies.
• Ensure orderly crowd management during enrolment, especially in large school or community settings.
• Assist in preparing attendance and enrolment summaries for program review meetings.
• Record observations on personal cleanliness of students and their seating position in the classroom.
• Take photographs after obtaining consent; if consent is not given, mark as “Not Comfortable.”
• Ask teachers and non-teaching staff if they wish to subscribe to V4E’s newsletter; if yes, collect WhatsApp number or email address.

Pay: Rs20,000.00 - Rs25,000.00 per month
