Responsibilities
Building Bright Futures! Brightstar is seeking a Computer Operator in the Roseville, MN area. This position requires you to be flexible with shifts, as it is a 24/7/365 operation. The position offers competitive wages and a shift differential. It is an intermediate-level position responsible for general technical support of the data systems for lottery sales systems. This position requires on-site support for the data center.

  • Assist in the daily operation of computer systems.
  • Carry out all tasks on the daily checklist under supervision.
  • Generate reports required. Assist in verifying the validity and clarity of computer reports and other output before releasing it from Computer Operations.
  • Assist in the recovery activities necessary to restore normal operations.
  • Follow the correct escalation procedures within Computer Operations and other Departments who are inter-dependent.
Qualifications
  • Two-year technical college degree or comparable experience
    • 2 years' experience in related field
    • Minimum technical knowledge and skills requirements - Required
      • Must be able to monitor and troubleshoot multiple technologies.
      • Able to navigate through Unix/Linux/AIX/VMS/DOS and perform basic commands
      • Working knowledge of FTP/SFTP protocols
      • Comprehensive knowledge of Office suite and PC operating systems
      • Intermediate knowledge of call center tools

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $29,120 - $52,458. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
