1. Academic Instruction and Curriculum Implementation
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons covering the entire CBSE curriculum for PGT Computer Science/Informatics Practices (Classes XI and XII).
- Teach core theoretical subjects (e.g., Computer Systems and Organisation, Networking, Data Structures) and practical skills using relevant programming languages.
- Core Technical Focus: Expertise in teaching Python programming (including Pandas, Matplotlib, NumPy) and SQL database management (MySQL), as mandated by the current CBSE syllabus.
- Utilize advanced educational software, coding platforms, and lab resources to create a hands-on learning environment.
- Stay current with advancements in technology and update teaching methods accordingly.
2. Laboratory and Project Supervision
- Supervise and manage the school's Computer Science Lab, ensuring all hardware and software are functional and up-to-date.
- Guide students in developing their mandatory CBSE Practical File and Project Work for both CS and IP streams, ensuring originality and compliance with board guidelines.
- Conduct practical examinations and internal assessments accurately and fairly.
- Ensure students adhere to cyber safety and ethical hacking protocols.
3. Assessment and Evaluation
- Design and administer fair and comprehensive assessments (both theoretical and practical) to measure student understanding of complex computational concepts.
- Provide constructive and individualized feedback on coding assignments and project logic.
- Rigorously prepare students for the CBSE Board Examinations, focusing equally on theoretical concepts and practical application-based questions.
4. Student Guidance and Mentorship
- Act as a mentor, inspiring students to explore careers in IT, software development, data science, and engineering.
- Encourage and facilitate student participation in coding competitions, robotics clubs, and technology-related school events.
- Provide additional support and remedial sessions to students needing help with programming logic and complex algorithms.
5. Departmental and School Contribution
- Collaborate with the school's IT coordinator on maintaining the school's computer infrastructure, as needed.
- Participate actively in curriculum review and the selection of new educational technologies.
- Communicate technical requirements, student progress, and subject-specific needs to parents and school administration.
