Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Computer Science Teacher to inspire and educate students in the exciting world of technology and programming. Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive computer science curricula tailored to various age groups and skill levels, incorporating principles of instructional design and lesson planning.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deliver course content, track student progress, and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
- Develop engaging lessons that integrate learning technology tools to enhance understanding of programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and software development.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with disabilities or special education requirements, ensuring inclusive classroom practices.
- Manage classroom environments effectively through classroom management techniques, conflict resolution, and behavior management strategies to promote positive student engagement.
- Provide individualized academic advising and tutoring to support students’ growth in computer science concepts and related subjects such as math, literacy education, and early childhood development.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development projects, extracurricular activities like coding clubs or robotics teams, and library services related to technology resources.
Qualifications
- Proven classroom experience teaching computer science or related subjects in a school setting; private school experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and current learning technology tools used in education.
- Experience working with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms for online instruction and student assessment purposes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective instruction, student engagement, and collaboration with parents or guardians.
- Background in working with individuals with disabilities or special education programs is highly desirable.

Pay: $26.94 - $32.45 per hour
