Job Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Computer Teacher to join our educational team. The Computer Teacher will be responsible for providing instruction in computer science and related technologies to students, ensuring that they develop essential digital literacy skills. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching both basic and advanced computer concepts, and will be able to foster a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lesson Planning & Delivery:
• Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for computer science, information technology, and digital literacy.
• Teach subjects such as programming, computer hardware, software applications, internet safety, and digital citizenship.
• Ensure lessons are interactive, engaging, and inclusive, catering to different learning styles.
• Student Assessment:
• Monitor and evaluate student performance through quizzes, assignments, projects, and exams.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them improve their skills.
• Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Classroom Management:
• Create and maintain a positive, organized, and safe learning environment.
• Manage student behavior and encourage respectful interactions and collaboration.
• Technology Integration:
• Incorporate modern educational technologies (e.g., coding platforms, educational software, etc.) into lessons.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in technology and integrate them into the curriculum as appropriate.
• Student Support:
• Provide extra help and tutoring for students struggling with course material.
• Encourage students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using technology.
• Collaboration:
• Work with other teachers to integrate technology into various subjects.
• Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Professional Development:
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with technological advancements.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
• A teaching certification in the relevant subject area may be required depending on the school or region.
• Experience:
• Previous teaching experience in computer science or technology is preferred.
• Familiarity with educational tools and platforms such as Google Classroom, Moodle, or similar.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite), and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, HTML/CSS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
