The COMSEC Trainer, located in Norfolk VA, shall have experience and knowledge necessary to manage the day-to-day operation and handling of Navy COMSEC equipment to include compliance supporting COMSEC upgrading and testing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:-
Experience in the design, deployment, and operation of COMSEC devices and manage Life Cycle Management (LCM).

Perform equipment maintenance, upgrading, troubleshooting, issuance and operational instruction for COMSEC hardware (e.g. STE, KSV-21, SKL, KG-175, KG-250, IRIDIUM, iApps and KIV-7).

Travel to perform training and site visits

Develop and maintain Standard Operation Processes (SOPs) and COMSEC specific training guides.

Interact and coordinate with NSA, NCMS, CMIO, CRF’s, Controlling Authorities, and Local Elements.
QUALIFICATIONS:-
Active Top-secret clearance and US citizenship with valid US Passport

Familiar CMS-1/CMS-3 series manuals and managing a Life Cycle Management (LCM) database.

Provide COMSEC administrative support including material inventory, destruction reports, order placements, and tracking.

Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in COMSEC management and operations.

Five (5) years’ experience in US Navy or Military Sealift Command Afloat Operations.

Minimum four (4) years’ experience in equipment design, deployment, troubleshooting, upgrading and operation of COMSEC devices and accounting mechanisms.

One of the following from the CSWF Designation code 723 Intermediate/Journeyman:

Bachelor’s degree from accredited University or CNSSI 4012-Senior Systems Manager

Military training: CIN A-4C-1340 Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Operating Account Manager or CIN W-3B-1500 EKMS Manager
