Position Summary: The Concessions Coordinator supports the Concessions Manager in overseeing daily operations across concessions, the food trailer, food and beverage bike, and public events. This role is responsible for supervising front-line staff, ensuring high-quality guest service, maintaining compliance with food safety standards, and assisting with inventory and POS functions. The coordinator acts as a hands-on leader, fostering teamwork and helping to deliver efficient, consistent, and welcoming guest experiences. In addition, the coordinator helps create a fun, energetic, and exciting atmosphere, making it a work environment that is both enjoyable for staff and inviting for guests.
Essential Functions
- Food & Beverage Oversight
- Supervise daily operations of concessions, food trailer, bike rentals, and public events.
- Ensure consistency in product preparation, presentation, and service.
- Support menu changes and seasonal offerings as directed by the Concessions Manager.
- Assist with developing new menu ideas and cocktail creations, contributing to seasonal and specialty offerings.
- Operations Management
- Assist with coordination of food and beverage services.
- Monitor compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Staffing & Training
- Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and coaching to front-line staff.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.
- Monitor employee performance and report concerns to the Concessions Manager.
- Oversee staff scheduling adjustments during shifts.
- Inventory & Ordering
- Track and communicate stock levels to the Concessions Manager.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and minimizing waste.
- Support with inventory management, including conducting regular counts, reconciling discrepancies, and helping maintain accurate records.
- Guest Experience
- Ensure a positive and welcoming environment for guests.
- Respond to guest questions and concerns, escalating issues to the Concessions Manager when necessary.
- Model professional and courteous customer service standards.
- Point of Sale (POS) Oversight
- Ensure proper operation of the TOAST POS system during shifts.
- Assist staff with handheld devices and transaction troubleshooting.
- Complete shift reports and reconcile cash/credit sales as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and / or Qualifications preferred:
- Experience:
- 1-2 years supervisory experience in food and beverage, concessions, or hospitality.
- Front of House and Back of House experience strongly preferred. Bartending experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
- Skills/Knowledge/Licenses:
- ServSafe Certification required, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Working Conditions: Basic mobility is expected in offices, grounds, and exhibition areas. Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information accurately with others. Engage in occasional object manipulation with or without assistance, and efficiently navigate the workspace to access essential resources. Ability to regularly move up to 20 pounds, and frequently up to 50 pounds (i.e., load, unload, and move supplies, medium to heavy weight tools, and equipment). Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. Regularly operates in outdoor and challenging weather conditions, including exposure to temperatures exceeding 100°F and dropping below 0°F, rain, high humidity, snow, and direct sunlight. This encompasses both outdoor settings and greenhouse environments.
