Bailey-Harris is seeking a Concrete Foreman – Self-Perform Division
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform and supervise concrete forming – Direct and assist crew members in setting up formwork for footings, piers, slabs, walls, and other structural elements, ensuring accuracy to control lines, elevations, and project drawings.
- Knowledge of concrete placement and curing – Possess a solid understanding of proper placement and curing techniques to ensure quality and durability and oversee subcontractors during pours to verify work meets schedule, safety, and performance standards.
- Perform and supervise concrete finishing – Lead and engage in finishing operations including screeding, bull floating, edging, and troweling, ensuring the final surface meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Work alongside crew members daily – Maintain a hands-on presence in the field, setting the pace for productivity and reinforcing safety and quality standards through direct involvement.
- Interpret blueprints and project specifications – Review drawings, specifications, and layout details to plan daily work, assign tasks, and ensure compliance with design intent.
- Coordinate deliveries, equipment, and manpower – Plan and schedule material deliveries, manage equipment needs, and balance labor assignments to maximize crew efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Lead daily safety meetings – Promote a strong safety culture by conducting pre-task planning, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and site-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate daily logs – Record crew hours, materials used, equipment needs, and project progress to support reporting and provide documentation for project management.
- Mentor and train crew members – Support the development of less experienced workers by demonstrating proper techniques, teaching best practices, and providing constructive feedback.
- Inspect work for quality – Continuously review completed and in-progress work, identifying deficiencies early and directing corrections to maintain high standards.
- Perform layout from control lines and elevations – Establish reference points and vertical controls in the field, ensuring precise placement of concrete elements in accordance with project drawings.
Skills, Knowledge, Additional Qualifications:

3–5+ years of concrete construction experience with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of forming systems, rebar placement, slab prep, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to work productively while directing a crew.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to perform concrete work and work outdoors in all weather.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Experience operating equipment (lull, skid steer, etc.) preferred.
- CDL Class B or A license is a plus.
