Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Concrete Foreman to lead and oversee concrete construction projects on-site. This role is vital in ensuring that all concrete work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As a Concrete Foreman, you will coordinate daily operations, supervise crews, and collaborate with project managers to meet project timelines and specifications. Your leadership will drive productivity, uphold safety protocols, and maintain excellent craftsmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of concrete pouring, finishing, and curing processes on construction sites.
- Lead and manage a team of skilled laborers and subcontractors, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of concrete work.
- Monitor project progress, maintain schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or Primavera, and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and enforce safety protocols on-site to prevent accidents.
- Conduct quality control inspections using tools like an ohmmeter to verify material integrity and adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with project management on budgeting, contracts, procurement of materials through HeavyBid or similar estimating tools, and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on concrete projects; supervising experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating techniques.
- Familiarity with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other construction site management tools.
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations, including pipeline work if applicable.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters for quality assurance.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining high standards of quality control.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting processes, and contract management in a heavy civil or commercial concrete environment. Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
