Concrete Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various concrete-related tasks and possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety on the job site.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation and placement of concrete for various projects including foundations, sidewalks, and driveways.
• Operate concrete mixers and other power tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks to ensure high-quality results.
• Install rebar and other reinforcement materials as required for structural integrity.
• Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.
• Utilize hand tools for various construction tasks including caulking, plastering, and trim carpentry.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual labor as needed throughout the workday.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction with a focus on concrete work is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation is beneficial.
• Familiarity with construction estimating, renovation, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, and hardscape is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift.
• Experience with carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, welding, and restoration projects is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of safety practices on construction sites.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to concrete work.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
