Volunteer Description:

Unpaid volunteer contributing time to Intermountain Healthcare in various roles. Commitment: The volunteer program requires a consecutive six-month commitment - with a minimum of a 3-4 hour shift a week, exceptions for vacation or illness. We're looking for individuals that can be here consistently. We depend on our volunteers because you truly do make a difference.

This is an unpaid position that gives you the opportunity to use your talents, meet new people and experience the pleasure that comes from making a difference in peoples lives.

We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to serve in such areas as:

• Guest Services - Engaging with individuals consistently, helping them find their way within the facility and to their appointments, maybe even escort them in a wheelchair.

• Department Support - Assisting patients/staff for an individual nursing unit and meeting their needs

• Surgical Waiting Room - Keeping guests updated regarding their patient having surgery

• Emergency Room - Assisting patients/staff in the Emergency Room, meeting their needs

• Gift Shop Assistant - Assisting customers with their purchases, pricing items, and using the cash register

• Playing Music in the Hospital Lobby

• Transportation (Golf Cart) - Escorting guests within facility

• Patient Visitation - Visiting with patients in need of companionship or offering courtesy items
