Job Title: Concept Interior Designer

Reports To: Design Head

The Concept Interior Designer is responsible for developing innovative design concepts that align with client briefs, brand identity, and functional requirements. The role focuses on ideation, mood boards, space planning, and concept presentations, working closely with clients, sales teams, and technical designers to translate ideas into feasible designs.

Key ResponsibilitiesConcept Development

• Develop creative interior design concepts based on client requirements and brand guidelines.
• Prepare mood boards, concept themes, color palettes, and material selections.
• Translate client briefs into visual design stories and layouts.

Design & Space Planning

• Create conceptual layouts and zoning plans for retail, commercial, or residential spaces.
• Ensure designs are aesthetically appealing, functional, and space-efficient.
• Coordinate with 3D designers for concept visualizations and renders.

Client Interaction & Presentation

• Present design concepts clearly to clients and internal teams.
• Incorporate feedback and refine concepts accordingly.
• Support sales and business development teams during design pitches.

Coordination & Compliance

• Work closely with technical designers, production teams, and project managers.
• Ensure concepts comply with budget, feasibility, and execution constraints.
• Stay updated with design trends, materials, finishes, and industry innovations.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong conceptual thinking and creativity
• Excellent visual presentation and storytelling skills
• Knowledge of retail interior design trends
• Client communication and presentation skills
• Time management and teamwork

Software Skills

• AutoCAD
• SketchUp / 3Ds Max (basic understanding)
• Photoshop / Illustrator
• MS PowerPoint for concept presentations

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design / Architecture
• 2–6 years of experience in concept design (Retail preferred)
