About the Role

We are seeking a Construction Accountant to join our rapidly growing team in Gillette, Wyoming. This role is perfect for a highly motivated professional who thrives on challenge, values precision, and is inspired by innovation. You’ll be a key financial partner to our project teams — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insight as we bring ambitious ideas to life.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations related to construction projects, including job costing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.

• Collaborate closely with project managers and leadership to track costs, assess performance, and support financial decision-making.

• Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and internal controls.

• Implement and enhance financial systems that improve accuracy and operational efficiency.

• Provide strategic insights that drive profitability, efficiency, and growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Accountant or in a similar project accounting role within the construction industry.

• Strong understanding of construction accounting practices, cost tracking, and contract financials.

• Skilled in accounting software (experience with ERP or construction-specific systems preferred).

• Advanced Excel and analytical abilities.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Collaborative and proactive mindset with strong attention to detail.
