Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores, Growth & Development team is searching for a Construction Cost Manager. As a Construction Cost Manager you'll build program-level frameworks, cost intelligence, and executive insights that determine how we invest, where we can do better, and how we scale smarter across a 600+ location portfolio. You'll be the financial brain behind one of the world's most ambitious physical retail expansions where your cost models and analysis directly shape how we build hundreds of grocery stores.

- Run portfolio-wide budget variance analyses and reconcile actual spend against planned baselines — for both active and completed projects
- Identify required changes in assumptions and inputs as cost drivers shift, and align with design, construction, capital planning, and procurement partners on trade-offs that impact financial goals.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly cost performance reports for senior and executive leadership, including facilitating regular leadership review meetings and tracking follow-ups.
- Engage directly with general contractors and external consultants to gather cost data, validate assumptions, and support governance and cost validation processes.
- Drive process improvement, governance, and controls within construction management systems to improve data quality, consistency, and operational efficiency at portfolio scale.
- Contribute to the team's AI and analytics strategy by gathering requirements, influencing tool prioritization, and measuring the impact of new platform adoption.
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design experience
- Experience with AI/ML technologies
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses, or experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience in retail construction projects
- Experience managing external consultant relationships in a construction or real estate development context
