Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of diesel engines, generators, and heavy equipment
- Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques
- Repair or replace engine components, fuel systems, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime of construction equipment
- Inspect machinery and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- Maintain accurate service logs and maintenance records
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality
- Coordinate with site teams for equipment availability and breakdown response
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and workshop standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and work area
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or technical certification in diesel mechanics or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in construction projects
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Experience with construction equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, generators, trucks)
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
