Construction Engineer - Electrical & Instrument

Job Purpose:

To manage and supervise Electrical & Instrumentation construction activities at site, ensuring work is executed safely, in compliance with project specifications, codes, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise E&I construction activities including installation, testing, and commissioning support.

  • Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, IEC/IEEE standards, and company procedures.

  • Coordinate daily site activities with construction contractors, QA/QC, HSE, and commissioning teams.

  • Review and execute work as per approved method statements, ITPs, and work permits.

  • Monitor progress, identify constraints, and support recovery plans to meet project schedules.

  • Interface with engineering teams to resolve site technical queries and field changes.

  • Ensure proper installation of cable trays, cabling, junction boxes, panels, instruments, and control systems.

  • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

  • Ensure adherence to HSE requirements and promote safe work practices on site.

  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and punch list closure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.

  • Minimum 10 years of Oil & Gas construction experience, preferably on EPC/EPCM projects.

  • Strong knowledge of E&I construction, testing, and commissioning.

  • Experience in brownfield and greenfield projects.

  • Familiar with international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, ATEX).

  • Good communication and coordination skills.
