Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fit Out Site Engineer to join our project team on an 8-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising fit-out works on site, ensuring that all activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedule, and quality standards. The role requires close coordination with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project scope, drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure feasibility, accuracy, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and manage daily site activities for interior fit-out works, including civil, finishes, joinery, and coordination with MEP trades.
- Supervise fit-out activities and monitor subcontractor performance to ensure quality standards, productivity, and adherence to the approved program.
- Oversee the execution of civil engineering aspects of fit-out projects, ensuring works are completed within approved timelines and budget constraints.
- Monitor daily site progress and ensure activities proceed as per the approved construction schedule.
- Oversee overall project activities and site operations to ensure smooth and efficient execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure structural integrity, quality standards, approved design specifications, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, coordinate, and proactively resolve technical and site-related issues to avoid delays and rework.
- Coordinate closely with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely material delivery, proper documentation, and closure of snag lists.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.
- Attend project and coordination meetings, provide clear progress updates, and contribute to technical discussions and solutions.
- Prepare, maintain, and submit daily and weekly site reports, progress reports, inspection requests, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare and issue weekly progress reports to the client.
- Report daily and weekly site updates to the Project Manager.
- Support testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover activities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in civil engineering with a strong emphasis on supervision within the interior design or construction industry.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with experience in client management and negotiation.
- Proficiency in civil engineering and familiarity with project management software
