Construction
Inspector
to join our construction management team.
The ideal candidate has at least
3- 5
years of experience
with the construction and inspection of various site construction projects across the New York Metropolitan area; including but not limited to architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing elements etc..
This position will begin full-time, On-site, in
New York City.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but are not limited to, the following:

Perform inspections on construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications.

Read and perform inspections on contract drawings and plans to Identify any potential violations, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing elements;

Review all materials upon arrival at the job site to ensure compliance, including assessing the quality of materials used through testing.

Document inspections and maintain logs of work performed, reporting any issues discovered.

Perform additional responsibilities as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
include, but are not limited to, the following:
-
At least 3 - 5 years of experience working professionally in a construction setting.

At least 3 - 5 years of experience working professionally as a construction inspector, including the inspection of site/civil work. (can overlap with above experience)

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is preferred, but not required.

Working knowledge of construction codes for New York City and New York State, along with the related referenced standards such as ADA Standards, etc.

Knowledge of construction scheduling to support the project team.

Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and procedures.

An active OSHA 30-hour certification is required.

Proficiency with web-based submittal collaboration systems.

Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations.

Experience in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.

Ability to collaborate with multiple team members.

Capability to safely maneuver around a construction site.

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)
