Heavy Equipment Operators are the first and primary line of communication between the Company and the personnel on the job. We are looking for an individual that can operate excavators, dozers, backhoes, skid steers, and track loaders. Foreseeable projects include excavation, large slab preps, utility trenching and installation, road work, Pipe Laying, and agricultural excavation. This position may also interface with the Client ensuring their concerns are communicated to appropriate company personnel.

Responsibilities & Duties

1. Trenching and grading with the appropriate equipment

2. Installation of water, sewer, power main/primary

3. Ability to fill out daily work reports, timecards, and maintenance requests

4. Maintain equipment and operating standards

5. Knowledge of machine GPS technology is preferred to ensure compliance with safety requirements on the job site

6. Daily collaboration with Company management

Requirements

1. Self-starter

2. Strong communication skills

3. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

4. Ability to do physically demanding tasks

5. Able and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions

6. +3 years of experience operating heavy equipment

7. Must poses a Driver’s license with clean driving history

8. Strong scheduling and organizational skills

9. Ability to read and decipher plans, specs, and codes

10. Working knowledge of GPS technology

A pre-employment drug test, motor vehicle record, and background check will be required.
