Role Purpose
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing all on-site construction and fit-out activities. This role ensures that all works are executed in compliance with the contract, specifications, schedule, budget, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution

Develop and implement detailed construction plans and schedules in coordination with the Project Director and consultants.

Oversee site mobilization, enabling works, and logistics to ensure timely commencement of construction activities.

Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff to ensure effective coordination of all trades.
Technical & Quality Control

Ensure construction works are executed in line with design drawings, specifications, and museum-quality standards.

Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship, material compliance, and adherence to fit-out requirements.

Coordinate with consultants and client representatives to resolve design or construction issues promptly.
Safety & Compliance

Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on site.

Ensure compliance with local regulations, Saudi Building Code (SBC), and Ministry of Culture requirements.

Maintain site security, emergency procedures, and risk management practices.
Cost & Progress Control

Monitor project costs and progress against baseline schedules and budgets.

Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports highlighting milestones, risks, and mitigation measures.

Support procurement activities by reviewing BOQs, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
Stakeholder Coordination

Act as the primary point of contact between the contractor, consultants, and the client.

Lead site coordination meetings to align stakeholders on design, schedule, and execution matters.

Manage change requests, variations, and claims in accordance with contract conditions.
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

10–15 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in museum, cultural, or fit-out projects.

Previous museum experience is a plus.

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, interior fit-out, MEP systems, and exhibition installations.

Familiarity with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and international museum design standards.

Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera P6 for scheduling, and AutoCAD/REVIT for design coordination.

Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
