- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the estimation team in preparing accurate cost estimates for tenders, bids, and ongoing projects.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and documents to determine material, labor, and time requirements.
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns and pricing strategies to support tender submissions.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure accurate project costing.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for compliance and competitiveness.
- Identify potential risks and provide cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare and present cost reports, cash flow projections, and tender analyses to senior management.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, local regulations, and client requirements.
- Maintain a database of cost information, suppliers, and subcontractors for future reference
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in estimation within the construction or contracting industry (UAE experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and market pricing in the UAE.
- Proven experience managing tenders for large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Candy, Excel, Primavera) and MS Office.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead a team and work under tight deadlines.
